Epigenetics

The study of the changes in organisms that are caused by changes in gene expression and not by the alteration of the genetic code itself.

For example, the study of how your behaviors and environments cause changes to the way your genes work.

Epigenetic changes are reversible and do not change the genetic code (DNA sequence), but they can change if and how your body reads and expresses a DNA sequence.
